A Christmas message from the Church of Texas Holdem
This is Father Ashley's first ever Christmas message. Peace
out.Hail Sinners!
At this difficult time of year, when the stresses and strains of trying to build your bankroll, running cold and being runner-runnered are making your blood boil and spoiling the festive spirit, remember those less fortunate than yourself.
Those who only know a flop as something
you do when you fall down with exhaustion; those who wash, drink from
and eliminate in the river, if it hasn't dried out; those who are lucky
to be dealt a pair of meals in an average day; those for whom a bad
beat usually comes from the end of a soldier's rifle.

It's always difficult to walk in
another man's shoes (or on the soles
of his bare feet). I urge you all, take a tiny, tiny portion
of your bankroll and make a donation to some noble cause.
Heifer International and Oxfam both will accept donations and give animals to poor families who need support.
These gifts keep on giving.
The families are trained to rear the animal, reproduce them, get milk,
eggs and other by-products to sell and support themselves; and finally,
the first offspring is given to another family in similar peril.

All at the Church of Texas
Holdem with all
of you a very healthy, happy and prosperous 2007. Enjoy your holidays.
Father
Ashley
