Here’s an idea of how our poker coach sessions will pan out. 1) We’ll establish communication via email. We’ll talk very briefly about who you are, where you play, how much you play and what your expectations and worries about your game. I’ll diarise an appointment for your poker lesson. 2) Your first poker coach session. During approximately the first 10-15 minutes of your lesson, you won’t be playing poker. I’ll be chatting to you about the points you raised in your email discussion. Only when I have raised the issues I believe need addressing will you log into your poker site and play with me ‘on your shoulder’, like the classic Angel or Devil in Tom and Jerry cartoons, telling you why you should (or should not!) take a certain action. 3) We’ll end with five minutes of your hour left. Stopping your poker lesson a little early means we have time to discuss any points that might have arisen during your poker coaching.
