The flop check-turn continuation bet

Does this sound familiar? You raise preflop with a hand like AK and get two callers, then blank out on the flop. Both the players check.

Turn is another dud. They check again.

I've found a bet here wins about 80% of the time!! I don't know what goes through the minds of the other players, maybe they imagine you're slowplaying a monster, but almost always they fold. It makes this bet a very very profitable one in the long run.
