Watch your poker chip stack. These? Greasy chips
Watch your poker chip stack
Keeping track of how many chips other players have is a good idea-- but don't forget to keep track of the chips you have! There's nothing worse than making a bet that seems right, and then realizing that you only have five chips left. Where'd they all go?
If you let your stack get too low, you're leaving yourself open to attack. Other players can bully you out of pots. They can place bets that will force you to go all-in before you're ready. They can set up situations where they can pot commit you with little or no risk to themselves.
Don't overbet the pot-- but also don't overbet your stack.
